Procurement / Storeperson - wanted on full time long term temporary basis to join our returning client based near Dundee.

This is a super exciting time to be joining this growing business having secured millions in future investment. Now looking for an individual to work within a Stores / Procurement role - you will effectively take on and develop this function over the months ahead.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Support the running and transition of the Dundee store

  • Review of the supplier base to enhance the ability to analyse suppliers and spend

  • Work closely with colleagues to further develop the supplier approval and management process, document and implementing the process across the organisation.

  • Play a key role in the implementation of efficiency's in the procure to pay process

  • Work closely with business solutions team to develop procurement and supplier base KPI's

  • Assist in the review of the procurement strategy and policy for the business

  • Review processes and documentation in line with organisations ISO9001 requirements


  • Holiday/Absence cover for the store

  • Assist with procurement queries (if required)

  • Any other relevant duties requested by the Line Manager

Person Specification



  • HNC or NVQ level 4 in Procurement and Supply or qualified by experience

  • Previous experience of working in an office and team environment.

  • Good knowledge of EU Procurement Directive and Best Value Legislation

  • Operational procurement and supply experience

  • Financial awareness.

  • Ability to work unsupervised, following an appropriate period of induction.

  • Creative, proactive, flexible and able to work to agreed deadlines.

  • Excellent negotiating skills

  • Experience of working in a multi-cultural environment.

  • Proficient in the use of office software packages, particularly "MS Office".

  • Ability to explain processes and procedures to non-procurement professionals

  • Attention to detail


  • A keen interest in procurement.

  • Tact and diplomacy.

  • Proven analytical and problem solving skills.

  • Experience of using Finance/Procurement systems.

Other Skills

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with an ability to relate to staff at all levels.

  • Adaptability and willingness to learn new skills.

Additional notes/Requirements

Whilst this post will be primarily based in Dundee there will also be a requirement to visit the Aberdeen site, to provide support. Mainly site based however some opportunity for home working when cover is not required.
