Adecco have an exciting role just in for a Production/ Assembly Supervisor to join our local client in South Ayrshire.

The production takes place within a designated and controlled area to ensure products are manufactured to achieve the lowest level of contamination. The skills involved include sewing, cutting and pack assembly.

Each product has a defined line layout to achieve optimum efficiency. There may be several line layout changes within a working day.

The Assembly Supervisor will be responsible for the following duties.

* From the agreed production plan to ensure the materials for the next production run have been assembled and can be allocated to the correct workstation. Ensure that the correct batch production paperwork is to hand

* Setting up the production line layout by following a documented and detailed plan to ensure correct number of operatives, correct machinery in place and the number of operatives matches the plan and that they have the necessary training to carry out the task correctly

* For most production codes an existing line layout will be filed and agreed but for those where a line layout is not yet set up then to have the skill and understanding to balance the line to ensure optimal and efficient production. Training in this area will be given

* Production Supervisor will attend the weekly planning meeting to review the following week's plan, ensure sufficient operatives are available and take note of where urgent or higher priority production orders must be completed. The performance for that week will be reviewed at the planning meeting

Skills required:

An ability to organise workload and production teams

An ability to command respect and authority

A disposition which will ensure a harmonious and pleasant working atmosphere
