Assistant Site Manager


Location: Witham (4 days covering various sites across the Southeast (mostly London) and 1 day WFH


Hours: Mon- Fri 40hrs (1-hour lunch per day)


Salary: Up to £30,000 (depending on experience)


Benefits: 25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays, plus many more

Adecco are excited to be working alongside a manufacturing company based in Witham, who are looking to hire a Trainee Site Manager to work alongside the Sales Manager on a full-time permanent basis.


Responsibilities will include but not limited to:



  • Assisting with the Sales Manager to ensure effective and efficient use of departmental resources to meet contractual obligations, budget requirements and strategic objectives

  • Helping with the management of Health & Safety on project sites and ensuring the company always meets its statutory obligations

  • Organise & monitor site labour levels

  • Monitoring & reporting progress of works and ensuring agreed programmes are achieved

  • Learning to undertake QA checks as works proceed to ensure standards are achieved

  • Inspecting finished works and present to contractors for handover

  • Participate in pre-contract and site progress meetings

  • Attend internal project handover meetings

  • Other duties as directed from time to time


The Successful candidate will have:



  • Excellent working knowledge of construction/Manufacturing industry

  • CSCS Card Holder

  • Able to interpret construction, architect and working drawings

  • Able to build relationships with co-workers, customers, and suppliers

  • Competent user of Microsoft Office

  • Commercially aware

  • Able to prioritise workload and work independently

  • Good interpersonal and organisational skills

  • Full driving licence
