Name of role: Litigation Operation (LOAH)

Hours: 37 hours a week Monday to Friday (core hours are 10-3.45pm)

Job Description

Litigation Operations are responsible for considering pre-action protocol letters, judicial review challenges and private law claims.

The successful candidates will ultimately be responsible for the management of the judicial review from the start to the end. Will gain experience in litigation handling, preparing cases for court and managing cost conclusions.

We are looking for candidates with the following skill set:

Essential Criteria:

  • A good proficiency in MS Office, including Excel, Word and Outlook.

Show enthusiasm for work, is professional and customer focused.

  • The ability to effectively use databases and work with excel spreadsheets.

  • Confident working in line with policies, procedures and rules that apply to the job.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Good customer service skills

  • Ability to follow set standards and guidance

  • Good IT skills (including MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint)

Security Clearance:

Due to the sensitive nature of the work, you will require:

  • Security clearance

  • Resided in the UK for the last 3 years

  • Have a *current* British Passport or settlement status

  • NI Number

  • 2 x proof of addresses (all in UK)

  • 5 years full history with no gaps of more than 1 month

  • 3 years solid reference with no gaps of more than 1 month

Due to the nature of the work at the Home Office, the role can be subject to change based on the business needs at the time. Therefore, they need candidates with a flexible nature that can deal with change.

If placed into a role you will undergo extensive training and the expectation is that you will stay in that role for the duration of the assignment, or a minimum of 4 months, before we can reassign you into a different business area. If you feel the role upon offer is not suitable you will need to discuss this prior to undergoing training.
